**SADA Affirms Solidarity with Yemeni Female Anchors Targeted by Al-Hawiyah TV and Supports the Journalists Syndicate’s Statement**
The National Organization of Yemeni Media Reporters (SADA) supports and endorses the statement issued by the Yemeni Journalists Syndicate regarding the offensive content aired by the local Al-Hawiyah TV channel targeting several Yemeni female journalists.
SADA expresses its full solidarity with the female journalists and presenters at Belqees TV channel, and affirms that the defamation and smear campaign against them is a punishable offense under current Yemeni laws. The affected journalists have the right to take legal action against the media outlet, and SADA confirms its readiness—through the Legal Protection for Journalists Project “Dhaman”—to support them throughout the legal process.
SADA further emphasizes that the unethical coverage of such issues does not constitute journalism in any way. It contradicts journalistic professionalism and standards, and reflects the scale of black propaganda fueled by the ongoing conflict and perpetuated by partisan media. It also reinforces SADA's ongoing concern that independent journalists and media outlets are increasingly vulnerable to targeting, danger, and threats.
The organization urges all journalists and media institutions to refrain from such unprofessional conduct, uphold journalistic values, and reinforce the importance of adhering to professional codes of conduct—an issue that the Syndicate’s statement rightly underscored as essential to prevent media outlets and professionals from deviating from the noble values and standards of journalism.
