Health conditions of abducted journalists in Political Security Prison in Sana'a  are at risk as a result of torture

The families of abducted journalist informed The National Organization of Yemeni Reporters “SADA” that the health conditions of their sons have deteriorated because of brutal torture they have exposed to for days by Houthis militia in the political security prison in Sana’a.

Relatives of abducted journalists stated that the abductors preventing families from visiting their sons and denial to entrance food or medicine, “our son’s lives are in danger” Families said.

Sada organization condemns these unprecedented violations committed against the abducted journalists, Houthi Militia bore a heavy responsibility for deterioration of their health conditions.

The organization stresses the need for concerted international and local efforts to pressure on the Houthi group to immediately and unconditionally release them. In this context, we affirm the right of abducted journalists to get their full freedom and justice compensation which guaranteed by international human rights law.

We also renew our call to the UN Secretary-General's envoy, Martin Griffiths, and the International Red Cross to visit abducted journalists, especially those are in the Political Security Prison in Sana'a, as their lives have become in danger.
