calls for serious move to save the journalists from killing: SADA condemns kidnapping of Al-Hakim photojournalist in Hodeidah city
The National Organization of Yemeni Reporters condemns the kidnapping of the photojournalist Adel Al-Hakim by gunmen affiliated to the Houthi group in Hodeidah city .
According to a report received by SADA Organization, " Gunmen belong to the Houthi group kidnapped the photojournalist Adel Al-Hakim from Hodeidah city, and took him to an unknown location ".
SADA Organization strongly condemns the kidnapping of Al- Hakim photojournalist, and calls the Houthi group to release him immediately without conditions .
The National Organization of Yemeni Reporters SADA demanded the Houthi group to stop its harassment and prosecution against journalists and photographers in the areas of its control, and also calls for immediate release of the two journalists: Muhammad Al-Salahi and Bilal Al-Arifi, who have been kidnapped from Hodeidah since 2018 .
SADA calls on the UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, to pressure on the Houthi group to stop its violations against the journalists, and to release the rest of the kidnapped journalists in its prisons .
SADA calls on the International Federation of Journalists, the Committee to Protect Journalists and international and local organizations to take a serious move to rescue the kidnapped journalists in the Houthis' prisons .
The Organization calls on local and international organizations and colleagues to put more pressure on the Houthi group until the release of all the kidnapped journalist and the end of arbitrary violations against press and media .
