The National Organization of Yemeni Reporters "SADA" has documented 4364 cases of violations in 2018, divided into three categories, “individual violations, massive violations, and violations committed against media institutionsâ€‌.

The massive violations cases topped up (4050 case with the ratio of 92.9%), violations against individuals (202 case with the ratio of 4.6%), and the violations against media institutions represented (112 case with the ratio of 2.5%).

The cases of violation divided into 46 type, the more was committed against individuals (31 abuse kind with the ratio of 67%), against media institutions represented about (11 abuse kind with the ratio of 14%, and the massive violations (4 abuse kind with the ratio of 9%).

The organizations monitored seven parties responsible of violating in 2018. The Houthi Group topped up the list of the most violating sides against journalists and the institutions they belong to, which reached to 4288 violations with the ratio of 98.2%.

The legitimate government committed(40 violation with the ratio of 0.9%) then unknown parties (20 violations with the ratio of 0.5%), The Arab coalition(6 violations with the ratio of 0.13%), media parties (6 cases with the ratio of 0.13%), retroactive effect ( 3 cases with the ratio of 0.06),

Al Qaeda (1 case with the ratio of 0.02%).

The organization monitored the places that witnessed the violations acts against journalist, The capital Sana'a controlled by Houthi group witnessed total of 4248 cases of violations against the press forming 97.3% of the violations recorded in 14 Yemeni governorates. (26 cases with the ratio of 0.6%) Taiz governorate, (23cases with the ratio of 0.52%) Aden governorate, (22 cases with the ratio of 0.50%) Hodaidah governorate, (7cases with the ratio of 0.16%) Dhamar governorate, (6 cases with the ratio of 0.13%) Lahj governorate, alongside 5 cases have been monitored outside Yemen.
